Batman: The Dark Knight Rises

Bailey took me to see The Dark Knight Rises last night. It was OK. Not awesome. It was long and scripted and held your hand. I understand you still have to make movies that will make money with a broad audience, I'd just like to see a kickass, deep, bad-as-it-oughta-be Batman movie. It did have Christian Bale as Batman and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, but it seemed forced and drawn-out at times. I am undecided on the ending and the introduction of Robin (sorry: SPOILER ALERT!)

And, although Bailey rightly thinks Anne Hathaway was hot in that little catsuit, I wasn't feeling the right Catwoman poise and aloof domination.

Although misplaced on the Adam West Batman, this picture with Julie Newmar demonstrates perfectly the feeling of playful danger Catwoman should poject

Stuck on 69

After sleeping three hours and dreaming of crows, I got up and drove to PV to pick up my daughter. I hadn't seen her since last Friday afternoon. We had a nice, lazy day and then I drove her back to PV around 3pm. The traffic was stopped for an accident on the way back to Prescott. Of course my jeep overheated while waiting. After about an hour of waiting I walked a mile to the Arco and bought coolant. I started thinking about how I still hadn't paid rent. Now, with "Don't Worry, Be Happy" stuck in my head, I walked back to the jeep (yes, I'm still saying "no thank you" to every negative thought).

"The land lord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate"

The traffic didn't clear until after six. So I drove my jeep until I saw smoke again. That was as far as Burger King. I waited and drove on to Starbucks. I waited there until sundown. Then I drove back home and checked my coolant. All gone.

So, tomorrow I get to see if I can fix this and still have money for the late rent check I'm supposed to drop off in PV on Sunday.
